Example of the BratBusters Behaviour Board
Below we have an example of how the BratBusters Behaviour Board may be set up for a family of five. We have the mom’s rule as no yelling; my suggestion is that if you yell as a parent, you have this as your rule.
The consequence for the parents is playtime with the kids because your goal is to connect with your kids. The idea of the consequence is that it isn’t meant to be this bad thing, rather it’s doing something positive for the family. That’s why I always start with positive actions for the kids; it’s about teaching them that if they break a rule, they have to do something nice.
For Sophia, who is two-years-old, she is not old enough to have a rule and a consequence, which is why her rule is just to be a toddler.
