1. Childproof your home so you never have to say no. Just a note; this isn’t me saying you shouldn’t say no to your kids, it’s just about making your life easier.

  2. Set up a toy rotation system so they aren’t bored with their toys.

  3. Connect with your toddler in their world, not yours. You don't connect with a toddler at the nail salon, you go to the park and roll down the hill with them.

  4. Discipline toddlers in their world with consistent corrective actions. Stop with what I call the “mini therapy sessions” for toddlers. They are about actions, not words.

  5. Stop trying to figure them out, they're not figure-outable as they are just forming.
